Cronin proposing referendum to eliminate DuPage Election Commission

“With legislation to dissolve the DuPage County Election Commission stalled in the Illinois House, county board Chairman Dan Cronin is proposing the matter be put to the voters in a spring election referendum.

“As we evaluate the current landscape and atmosphere in our state Legislature, we believe it’s in the best interest of DuPage taxpayers that we not wait for the House,” Cronin said Tuesday.”
